Virtual Cookie Recipe Exchange

Thought I would join in the virtual cookie recipe exchange fun that's happening over at Time 4 Kindergarten.  I love me a good cookie!  I like to bake and put together some baskets together for holiday or family parties, or small little gifts for neighbors.  So much fun!  When thinking of a recipe to share I immediately thought of "Salty & Sweet!"  I am totally a salty and sweet kinda girl so instead of sharing a "cookie" recipe.. I'm going to share a fun little "snack" recipe that is a great addition to any cookie tray.

Sweet & Salty Chocolate Topped Pretzels!
Basically delicious...

ADORABLE border by Krista Wallden

Pretty easy huh?  If you did it correctly they'll look a little something like this...

You could also top with peanuts, pecans.. use candy cane kisses.. anything your heart desires!

What's your snack weakness? Sweet & Salty definitely tops my charts!

As educators, we remember and honor our fallen colleagues and their students from Sandy Hook School. We honor them each day in our classrooms in which we continue their dream of teaching our children. We honor their memory with our service. Join with teachers everywhere in committing random acts of kindness to show our love for Sandy Hook.

How with your show your #love4SH ?

  1. Ashley,
I have never made these with Rolos! YUM. Oh my goodness. I am going to do that. Do you get really OCD about not having the "m" showing on the m&m? :) Sometimes if I am going to give them away, I only use the ones with the plain color showing. Honestly, it is probably just an excuse to eat the others... Rolos are now on my list!

  2. Thank you so much for linking up. I've never made these before. I will have to give them a try.

  3. Hey Ashley,

My name is Zander Fields and I lead the Education Outreach Team for Concordia University - Portland. Our team is always looking to connect with passionate education professionals to share insights with our growing community of active K-12 teachers and educators.

The New Year is coming around, and even if we don’t always quite live up to them, we love New Year’s resolutions-especially teaching-based ones! Sometimes they’re inspiring, sometimes they’re interesting, and sometimes they’re even a little odd.

We’re compiling a list of New Year’s resolutions from teachers around the world, and would love your contribution. We will attribute the resolution to you and link back to your blog.

If you’re interested, please send your resolutions my way before December 27. Of course, you can also reach me by phone through the number listed in my signature, so don’t hesitate to give me a ring (not that kind, though! :-) ).

We recently published an article titled Teacher HACKs: Fast Teaching Tips and Strategies: where we gathered and collected fun, quirky tips from teachers on a variety of teaching topics. We would love it if you had a chance to contribute there as well!
